EXPERIENCE: No prior improv or theatre experience required
Anxiety affects 20% of American adults. A number of proven techniques have been shown to decrease anxiety and one of them is Improvisational Theatre. Margot Escott LCSW, who has practiced in Naples for 34 years, and has performed improv and taught professionally, will lead this 6-week group. Learn the basic improv skills to help decrease feelings of anxiety, in a safe, humorous and playful environment. Some of these skills include spontaneity, building trust, and, the concept that there are no mistakes. This class will also incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness techniques, both proven to help alleviate anxiety.
