Meet Southwest Florida’s improv master Craig Price, who studied with the legendary Del Close at Improv Olympic and Second City in Chicago. Craig performed and studied for two years at Second City and IO before moving to Denver and performing for 5 years and 550 shows ComedySportz of Denver. He then moved to Southwest Florida where he was instrumental in leading the improv movement that has taken Southwest Florida by comedic storm. Craig is the Education Director at the Naples Players where he continues to teach improv to kids under 18 and adults. Since being at TNP, Craig has initiated a Wellness/Inclusive Improv Program where he teaches Acting & Improv for kids with ASD & SDP, Improv for Adults with Disabilities and a special needs improv class for High School students. Margot and Craig discuss the highs and lows that improv players experience on and off stage.
More about Craig Price: Craig Graduated from Wittenberg University with a BA in Theatre and English. He taught, directed and performed with the Naples Players and KidzAct, Cofounded and performed with Naples City Improv and was the Assistant Director of the Curious Kids TV show on WGCU. As Theatre Director for The Centers for the Arts of Bonita Springs, Craig helped launch Bonita Springs first performing arts center where he taught improv and acting for kids and adults in addition to directing CFABS Youth/ Teen Players and CFABS Community Players’ productions of plays and Murder Mystery Dinner Theatre Shows. When he is not with his family, Craig loves directing and performing with Bonita City Improv performing monthly at Improv Tonight! and Mission ImprovAble at the Youth Comedy Café, both shows are the first Saturday of every month at the Center for the Performing Arts Bonita Springs. Craig is currently the Education Director at The Naples Players where he continues to teach improv to kids under 18 and adults.
