Join us for our free Improvisational Theatre Games for persons with PD and their Care Partners on Zoom. You don’t have to want to be a performer on stage to learn improv games and have fun! In this class, you will learn improvisational theatre exercises that benefit emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. After this class, participants find their stress levels have decreased while their laughter life increased! A student shared their thoughts on this class. “All of us have PD at different levels and we’re all trying to accept our challenges. For some of us, communication can be embarrassing and this helps us learn to speak out and not be afraid to use our voices.”
Improv for Everyone
Whether you’re a beginner or have played for a while, this will be a class for fun and laughs! You don’t have to be funny, you just have to like fun!
Improv helps: boost confidence, decrease stress, enhance creativity, and help you think on your feet!

Improv for Therapists – Queen City Improv
An Online 5 Week Improv Class specifically designed for Mental Health Professionals.
Psychotherapists are recognizing the therapeutic benefits of applying life skills they learn from improv games and exercises to personal challenges.
“Improv for Therapists” is designed for therapists of all disciplines to add/resharpen tools in their tool belts. These learning sessions are part lecture and discussion and part experiential exercises. By the end, you will better understand how to apply improv to not only your clinical practice but to your own life as well.
Margot is an internationally known improviser and her podcast, Improv Interviews, features improvisers and actors from around the world. She has studied musical improv with Laura Hall, the musical director for “Whose Line is it Anyway”

There’s nothing more fun than musical improv! The class is open to anyone whether you’ve studied improv or are a newbie. In this class, you’ll learn the fundamentals of improv and improvising a song. We will also cover stage presence, focus with confidence, rhyming, and mindfulness. Through pre-recorded accompaniments, we’ll apply song structure to improv games. Can’t sing? Sing louder! This class is open to singers and non-singers alike.
This is a very safe class and any accommodations will be respected. This course will be offered online and in person simultaneously! You can choose which works better with your schedule.

Margot Escott incorporates over 30 years of experience as a counselor, speaker, and teacher in her wellness classes that are designed to use humor, play, and improv to achieve well being. In addition to teaching and performing improv professionally, Margot has presented workshops and seminars on “Therapeutic Value of Humor and Play” on a national level and was a featured speaker at the Chicago “Yes, and” conference on Improvisation and Mental Health.
